Program and Speakers:

A Call to Action (9:30 — 11:30 am)

9/11 Family Members and Other Leaders Speak Out
+ Premiere of the new BuildingWhat? TV ad.

Speakers:

Bob McIlvaine, 9/11 Family Member

Bob McIlvaine, a former history teacher from Oreland, PA, is one of the most outspoken 9/11 family members. His son, Robert McIlvaine, Jr. (Princeton University ’97) was Assistant Vice-President of Media Relations for Merrill Lynch & Co. and perished at the World Trade Center’s North tower on September 11, 2001. From the evidence that Bob has gathered, it is apparent his son was killed by an explosion, likely in the lobby.

Bob is one of the family members that attended every 9/11 Commission hearing as well as numerous 9/11 Truth conferences around the world. He has appeared in several TV, radio and newspaper interviews, as well as the documentary 9/11: Press For Truth, and commercial TV spots on behalf of BuildingWhat.org, calling attention to the mysterious collapse of a third WTC tower which was not hit by an airplane.

Manny Badillo, 9/11 Family Member

Manny Badillo’s Uncle, Thomas Joseph Sgroi, was murdered on September 11, 2001. His Uncle worked as the VP of Internet Technology at Marsh & McLennan, with offices in the north tower. His body was recovered months later – the official cause of death was asphyxiation.

As a former Air Force public affairs specialist, Manny won the highest award for enlisted service members on his base. Now, Manny is an outspoken advocate for family members, rescue workers, residents and survivors of the crimes of Sept. 11th.

He is Outreach Director for NYC CAN, and he has helped raise funds for WTCRescuers.org, FealgoodFoundation.com, AE911Truth.org, as well as many individual first responders and rescue workers in need.

Manny has appeared on international TV broadcasts, radio shows, and award-winning documentaries, one of which took first place in the London Independent Film Festival. He has interviewed John Schroeder, one of the first firefighters to rush into the towers, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, who said she supports all family members’ questions being answered, and Janet Napolitano, who agreed it is within the NYC Council’s jurisdiction to investigate Building 7’s collapse.

Manny had the street in Brooklyn where his Uncle grew up renamed “Thomas J. Sgroi A 9/11 Memorial Way”. At the street renaming ceremony, NYC Counclimember Simcha Felder signed the historic NYC CAN petition, alongside 80,000 other NYC residents. Manny was part of this past anniversary’s memorial service for the first time, speaking of his Uncle and representing his family, where he concluded by saying, “We know the truth of this unsolved crime saves countless lives.”

Manny is a native of and lives in NYC.

The Case For a New Building 7 Investigation (1:00 — 3:45 pm)

Lawyers, Scientists and Investigators Present the Evidence

Speakers:

Dr. William Pepper, Attorney

Dr. William Pepper is an English Barrister and an American Attorney focusing on international human rights. He has worked with and was a friend of Martin Luther King during his last year of life. MLK had read articles on Viet Nam where William Pepper had been a journalist, and asked to meet with him. MLK wept when he saw the photographs (Ramparts, Jan. 196) and asked Pepper to work closely with him as he turned hard against the war.

Nine years after the assassination, family and friends asked Pepper to interrogate James Earl Ray. He did, in 1978, and ten years later after becoming convinced that Ray was an unknowing patsy, agreed to represent him. Two books and an unscripted television trial later, and having been denied by the 6th Circuit and Cert. by the Supreme Court, Ray died and Pepper held a civil trial in Memphis (in which he represented the family of MLK) for 30 days and questioned 70 witnesses, exonerating Ray and setting out how MLK was killed. The jury took 59 minutes to so rule and lay blame on agents of the US, state, and local governments.

A similar scenario followed as Pepper examined the assassination Robert F. Kennedy. Pepper had been the Citizens Chairmen for Robert F. Kennedy’s 1963 New York Senate Campaign. As his investigation of RFK’s assassination progressed, new evidence of Sirhan’s actual innocence emerged that was even stronger than the evidence he had presented in the MLK case. Pepper has now become lead counsel for Sirhan Sirhan.

Pepper also convened the Seminar on International Human Rights at Oxford University for two years and is currently the expert to the Magistrate’s Court in Spain on Universal Jurisdiction with an Opinion before the Court urging the prosecution of members of the Bush Administration for war crimes, crimes against humanity and violations of the Torture Convention.

Pepper has advised a number of the 9/11 victim’s families, has admired the efforts and good work of many 9/11 researchers and has long advocated the necessity of an independent investigation in order for the truth to see the light of day. To this end, Pepper played an active role as legal advisor to the NYC CAN ballot initiative, a 9/11 family member supported campaign for a new New York City investigation of the 9/11 attacks.

Tony Szamboti, Mechanical Engineer
Structural Aspects of Building 7’s Collapse: Why the NIST Report is Non-explanatory

Tony Szamboti is a degreed mechanical engineer with over 20 years of experience performing structural design in both the communications and aerospace industries. He has stated that he first became alerted to the severe problems and unexplained anomalies in the present official explanations for the collapses of the three high-rise buildings in NYC on Sept. 11, 2001 in early 2006, after reading Brigham Young University Physics Professor Steven Jones’ Nov. 2005 paper entitled “Why Indeed Did the World Trade Center Buildings Completely Collapse?” Since that time he has been researching the issue himself and in the past three years has written or co-authored several scientific papers on the destruction of the three WTC buildings.
